YOTA Contest 2021

1. Organizer: IARU R1 Youth Working Group cooperating with MRASZ (Hungarian Amateur Radio Society)

2. Objective: Increasing youngsters activity on the air, strengthening the reputation of the YOTA program and demonstration of support for youngsters across the world.

3. Date and time:

a. 1st round: 22nd of May, 0800 – 1959 UTC
b. 2nd round: 17th of July, 1000 – 2159 UTC
c. 3rd round: 30th of December, 1200 – 2359 UTC

4. Participants:

a. Every amateur radio operator in the world, accepting these contest rules affixed here.
b. YOTA: defined by IARU (International Amateur Radio Union), any youngster ≤ 25 years old

5. Bands: 80m, 40m, 20m, 15m, 10m

6. Modes: CW and SSB

7. Categories:

a. Single Operator 3 Bands Mixed (open)
b. Single Operator 3 Bands Mixed (YOTA)

i. 3 bands with the biggest score worked are automatically chosen form the log, therefore it’s not required to predetermine these.

c. Single Operator All Bands Mixed (open)
d. Single Operator All Bands Mixed (YOTA)
e. Single Operator All Bands Mixed 6 hours – only YOTA
f. Multi Operator Single Transmitter All Bands Mixed – only YOTA (maximum 1 non-youngster operator per every 2 youngster operators)

i. The 10-minute rule applies for band changes. You can change modes within the same band without restriction.
ii. Up to 2 signals can be transmitted at a time: one on the “RUN” band and the other on the “MULT” band.

g. Shortwave Listeners (SWL) All Bands Mixed

i. Points for each QSO are the sum of each QSO partner’s points with respect to the SWL’s location (e.g. a QSO between non-YOTA station on the SWL’s continent and a 23 year old YOTA station is worth 11 points (1 for the same-continent non-YOTA station and 10 for the YOTA station).
ii. Every heard station is valid only once per band and mode. Listening to only one specific station will result in score reduction.

h. Station sponsors: station owners inviting youngsters may apply to a separate category with photos submitted, and be rewarded for their efforts.

i. Please provide sponsor callsign in operator list.

8. Contest contacts:

a. Everyone can work with everyone.
b. It is possible to work with the same station on the same band i n CW and SSB modes.

9. Exchange:

a. Single operator: RS(T) + age on 1st of January
b. Multi operator: RS(T) + average age on 1st of January, or 25 whichever is less

10. Scoring:

a. Own continent: 1 point
b. DX: 3 points

i. Continents are defined as the following:
North America (NA), South America (SA), Europe (EU), Africa (AF), Asia (AS) & Oceania (OC)

c. QSO with youngsters:

i. < 12 years: 13 points
ii. 12-16 years: 12 points
iii. 17-21 years: 11 points
iv. 22-25 years: 10 points

d. Multipliers: different exchanges (“ages”) worked per band, regardless of mode
e. The final result is the sum of points earned per band and mode multiplied by the sum of multipliers worked per band.

11. Logs:

a. Cabrillo file format (V 2.0 and higher) can be uploaded at https://contest.ham-yota.com
b. Log submission deadline: 7 days after the end of the contest. Participants shall receive an email confirmation after submission. Regarding log submission, questions from participants are being answered at contest@ham-yota.com until the deadline.
c. Every station can submit 1 log. If more than 1 log is submitted with the same callsign, the last one counts.

12. Log checking:

a. Logs are checked using specifically designed software and human evaluation.
b. Dupe contacts do not result in penalty points.
c. Contacts with incorrect callsign, exchange, date, time are worth 0 points.

13. Evaluation:

a. There will be an overall evaluation of the 3 rounds per year as well.
b. MRASZ is responsible for checking and evaluating the logs, and publishing the results.
c. Participants are expected to follow written and unwritten rules of amateur radio operations. Violations of the competition rules or unsportsmanlike conduct may result in action by the YOTA Contest Committee.

14. Prizes:

a. Plaques for stations scoring in the first places in all categories in each round.
b. Awards for all participants are available to download after the results evaluation.

15. Other provisions:

a. The radios and antennas must be located within 500 meters of each other. This location choice is fixed for a given callsign. Participants wishing to participate from different locations within a single contest need to use a different callsign for each.
b. Do not delete dupes or any contacts made! Even if you submit in the Single Operator 3 Band category, please include all QSOs made on any band within the contest.
c. For logged contacts, the time difference between the 2 stations’ log records may not exceed 3 minutes. Exceeding that, the contact will be deleted. This does not authorize anyone to establish a contact outside of the contest period. It is advisable to synchronize your computer clock with your GPS or Internet time server before the contest.
d. Cluster usage is allowed in any category, but self-spotting and spot requests are strictly forbidden. In the case of a clearly identifiable self-spotting, related to the operator and not the callsign, the log of the affected station can only be accepted as checklog and will result in disqualification.
e. If the participant’s logger program malfunctions or has unintended operation other than the contest rules, it does not entitle the participant to object the YOTA Contest Committee’s decisions and evaluation. Therefore, operators are responsible for submitting log files in a readable Cabrillo format. In cases where other file types are submitted and can not be converted, the log entry will be reclassified as a checklog.
f. Total output power must comply with the local regulations and not exceed them on any band at any time.
g. Remote operation is permitted if the physical location of all transmitters, receivers, and antennas are at one station location. A remotely operated station must obey all station license, operator license, and category limitations. The call sign used must be one issued or permitted by the Regulatory Authority of the station location.
h. In the light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, IARU-R1’s official position is to not encourage multi-operator contest participation, following the principle of “social distancing”. Despite this, the Youth WG has explicitly taken the decision to allow multi-operator activations in this contest. This is to allow participation of youngsters (which often don’t have their own station) at e.g. a parent’s or an elmer’s station, as a means to get them on the air in the first place. Despite of what we encourage with the YCP (Youth Contest Program) during “normal times”, we currently discourage bringing together groups of youngsters at big contest stations, following the “social distancing” principle. Please follow all local and national laws and recommendations applicable to you regarding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
i. By submitting a YOTA Contest log, and in consideration of the efforts of the YOTA Contest Committee to review and evaluate that log, an entrant unconditionally and irrevocably agrees that he/she/they has:

i. read and understood the rules of the contest and agrees to be bound by them,
ii. operated according to all rules and regulations that pertain to amateur radio for the station location,
iii. agreed the log entry may be made open to the public, and
iv. accepted that the issuing of disqualifications and other decisions of the YOTA Contest Committee are official and final.
v. If an entrant is unwilling or unable to agree to all of the foregoing, the entrant should not submit the entry or submit the entry as a checklog only.

j. In case of conflicting translations the definitive rules will be the English rules as published on https://ham-yota.com/contest at the time of each contest’s start.

YOTA-Wettbewerb 2021

2. Zielsetzung: Erhöhung der Aktivität der Jugendlichen im Amateurfunk, Stärkung des Bekanntheitsgrades des YOTA-Programms und Unterstützung für jugendliche Funkamateure in der ganzen Welt.

3. Datum und Zeit:

a. 1. Runde: 22. Mai, 0800 – 1959 UTC
b. 2. Runde: 17. Juli, 1000 – 2159 UTC
c. 3. Runde: 30. Dezember, 1200 – 2359 UTC

4. Teilnehmende:

a. Jeder Funkamateur auf der Welt, der diese hier angeführten Wettbewerbsregeln akzeptiert.
b. YOTA: definiert von der IARU (International Amateur Radio Union), jeder Jugendliche ≤ 25 Jahre alt.

5. Bänder: 80m, 40m, 20m, 15m, 10m

6. Betriebsarten: CW und SSB

7. Kategorien:

a. Single Operator 3 Bänder Mixed (offen)
b. Single Operator 3 Bänder Mixed (YOTA)

i. Die 3 Bänder mit den meisten generierten Punkten werden automatisch aus dem eingereichten Logbuch ausgewählt. Es ist nicht erforderlich, diese vorher auszuwählen.

c. Single Operator Alle Bänder Mixed (offen)
d. Single Operator Alle Bänder Mixed (YOTA)
e. Single Operator Alle Bänder Mixed 6 Stunden – nur YOTA
f. Multi Operator Single Transmitter Alle Bänder Mixed – nur YOTA

i. maximal 1 nicht-jugendlicher Operator pro 2 jugendliche Operatoren
ii. Bei Bandwechseln gilt die 10-Minuten-Regel. Innerhalb desselben Bandes kann die Betriebsart ohne Einschränkung gewechselt werden.
iii. Es können bis zu 2 Signale gleichzeitig gesendet werden: eines auf dem “RUN”-Band und das andere auf dem “MULT”-Band.

g. Kurzwellen-Hörer (SWL) Alle Bänder Mixed

i. Punkte für jedes QSO sind die Summe der Punkte jedes QSO-Partners in Bezug auf den Standort des SWL (z.B. ein QSO zwischen einer Nicht-YOTA-Station auf dem Kontinent des SWL und einer 23 Jahre alten YOTA-Station ist 11 Punkte wert (1 Punkt für die Nicht-YOTA-Station und 10 Punkte für die YOTA-Station).
ii. Jede gehörte Station kann einmal pro Band und Betriebsart geloggt werden. Das Zuhören von nur einer bestimmten Station führt zu Punktabzug.

h. Stationspaten: Stationsbesitzer, die Jugendliche einladen, können sich in einer separaten Kategorie mit eingereichten Fotos bewerben und für ihre Bemühungen ausgezeichnet werden.

i. Bitte das Rufzeichen des Sponsors in der Operatorenliste angeben.

8. Contest-QSOs:

a. Jeder kann jede Station arbeiten.
b. Es ist möglich, mit der selben Station auf dem gleichen Band in den Betriebsarten CW und SSB zu funken.

9. Austausch:

a. Single Operator: RS(T) + Alter am 1. Januar des aktuellen Jahres
b. Multioperator: RS(T) + Durchschnittsalter am 1. Januar oder 25 Jahre, je nachdem, welcher Wert niedriger ist

10. Punktevergabe:

a. Eigener Kontinent: 1 Punkt
b. DX: 3 Punkte

i. Kontinente sind wie folgt definiert:
Nordamerika (NA), Südamerika (SA), Europa (EU), Afrika (AF), Asien (AS) & Ozeanien (OC)

c. QSO mit Jugendlichen:

i. < 12 Jahre: 13 Punkte
ii. 12-16 Jahre: 12 Punkte
iii. 17-21 Jahre: 11 Punkte
iv. 22-25 Jahre: 10 Punkte

d. Multiplikatoren: verschiedene Nummern (“Alter”), die pro Band gearbeitet werden, unabhängig von der Betriebsart
e. Das Endergebnis ist die Summe der erreichten Punkte pro Band und Betriebsart multipliziert mit der Summe der gearbeiteten Multiplikatoren pro Band.

11. Kontest-Logs:

a. Das Cabrillo-Dateiformat (V 2.0 und höher) kann unter https://contest.ham-yota.com hochgeladen werden.
b. Log-Einreichungsfrist: 7 Tage nach Ende des Wettbewerbs. Die Teilnehmenden erhalten nach der Einreichung eine E-Mail-Bestätigung. Fragen der Teilnehmenden zur Log-Einreichung werden bis zum Einsendeschluss unter contest@ham-yota.com beantwortet.
c. Jede Station kann 1 Log einreichen. Wenn mehr als 1 Log mit dem gleichen Rufzeichen eingereicht wird, zählt das zuletzt eingereichte.

12. Log-Prüfung:

a. Die Logs werden mit einer speziell entwickelten Software und durch menschliche Auswertung überprüft.
b. Doppelte Kontakte führen nicht zu Strafpunkten.
c. Kontakte mit falschem Rufzeichen, Austausch, Datum oder Zeit werden mit 0 Punkten gewertet.

13. Auswertung:

a. Es wird eine Gesamtbewertung der 3 Runden pro Jahr durchgeführt.
b. MRASZ ist verantwortlich für die Überprüfung und Auswertung der Logbücher und die Veröffentlichung der Ergebnisse.
c. Von den Teilnehmenden wird erwartet, dass sie die niedergeschriebenen und ungeschriebenen Regeln des Amateurfunkbetriebes einhalten. Verstöße gegen die Wettbewerbsregeln oder unsportliches Verhalten können zu Maßnahmen durch das YOTA Contest Komitee führen.

14. Preise:

a. Plaketten für Stationen, die einen ersten Platz in einer der aufgeführten Kategorien belegt, in jeder Runde
b. Urkunden für alle Teilnehmenden stehen nach der Ergebnisauswertung zum Download bereit.

15. Sonstige Bestimmungen:

a. Die Funkgeräte und Antennen müssen sich innerhalb von 500 Metern befinden. Dieser QTH ist für ein bestimmtes Rufzeichen fest vorgegeben. Teilnehmende, die innerhalb eines Contests von verschiedenen QTHs aus teilnehmen wollen, müssen für jedes ein anderes Rufzeichen verwenden.
b. Bitte keine Dupes oder irgendwelche Kontakte löschen! Auch wenn in der Kategorie “Single Operator 3 Bänder Mixed” eingereicht wird,  bitte alle QSOs mit einschließen, die auf einem beliebigen Band innerhalb des Contests gearbeitet wurden.
c. Bei geloggten Kontakten darf die Zeitdifferenz zwischen den QSOs der beiden Stationen 3 Minuten nicht überschreiten. Wird dies überschritten, wird der Kontakt gelöscht. Dies berechtigt niemanden dazu, einen Kontakt außerhalb des Contest-Zeitraums durchzuführen. Es ist ratsam, die Computeruhr vor dem Contest mit dem GPS oder dem Internet-Zeitserver zu synchronisieren.
d. Die Nutzung von Clustern ist in jeder Kategorie erlaubt, jedoch sind Selbstspotting und Spotanfragen strengstens untersagt. Im Falle eines eindeutig identifizierbaren Selbstspottings, das sich auf den Operator und nicht auf das Rufzeichen bezieht, kann das Log der betroffenen Station nur als Checklog akzeptiert werden und führt zur Disqualifikation.
e. Wenn das Log-Programm des Teilnehmenden eine Fehlfunktion aufweist oder es sich nicht entsprechend der Ausschreibung verhält, berechtigt dies den Teilnehmenden nicht zu einem Einspruch gegen die Entscheidungen und die Bewertung des YOTA Contest Komitees. Daher sind die Teilnehmenden dafür verantwortlich, Log-Dateien in einem lesbaren Cabrillo-Format einzureichen. In Fällen, in denen andere Dateitypen eingereicht werden und nicht konvertiert werden können, wird das Log als Checklog neu klassifiziert.
f. Die Gesamtausgangsleistung muss den örtlichen Vorschriften entsprechen und darf diese auf keinem Band zu keinem Zeitpunkt überschreiten.
g. Remote-Betrieb ist erlaubt, wenn sich der physische Standort aller Sender, Empfänger und Antennen an einem Stationsstandort befindet. Eine fernbediente Station muss alle Stationslizenz-, Betreiberlizenz- und Kategoriebeschränkungen einhalten. Das verwendete Rufzeichen muss eines sein, das von der Regulierungsbehörde des Stationsstandorts ausgegeben oder zugelassen wurde.
h. In Hinblick auf die aktuelle COVID-19-Pandemie ist die offizielle Position der IARU-R1, Multi-Op-Teilnahmen an Contesten nicht zu unterstützen, basierend auf dem „Social Distancing“-Prinzip. Dennoch hat sich die Youth WG explizit entschlossen, Multi-Op-Aktivierungen in diesem Contest zuzulassen. Ziel ist, Jungendliche (welche häufig keine eigene Station haben) die Teilnahme an der Station z. B. eines Elternteils oder eines Elmers zu ermöglichen. Im Gegensatz zu dem, was wir mit dem YCP (Youth Contest Program) in „normalen Zeiten“ umsetzen, raten wir aktuell davon ab, Jugendgruppen an großen Contest-Stationen zusammen zu bringen, und so „Social Distancing“ zu wahren. Wir bitten dementsprechend alle Teilnehmenden, sich an die aktuell geltenden lokalen sowie nationalen Gesetze und Empfehlungen bezüglich der COVID-19-Pandemie zu halten.
i. Mit dem Einreichen eines YOTA Contest Logs und in Anbetracht der Bemühungen des YOTA Contest Komitees, dieses Log zu überprüfen und zu bewerten, stimmt ein Teilnehmender bedingungslos und unwiderruflich zu, dass er/sie/thej:

i. die Regeln des Wettbewerbs gelesen und verstanden hat und sich damit einverstanden erklärt, an diese gebunden zu sein,
ii. gemäß allen Regeln und Vorschriften gearbeitet hat, die den Amateurfunk für den Stationsstandort betreffen,
iii. zugestimmt hat, dass das Log der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht werden kann, und
iv. akzeptiert hat, dass Disqualifikationen und andere Entscheidungen des YOTA Contest Komitees offiziell und endgültig sind.
v. Wenn ein Teilnehmender nicht willens oder in der Lage ist, allen vorgenannten Punkten zuzustimmen, sollte das Contest-Log nicht oder nur als Checklog eingereicht werden.

j. Im Falle von Abweichungen zwischen verschiedenen Übersetzungen, zählen die englischen Regeln, wie sie zu Beginn des Contests unter https://ham-yota.com/contest veröffentlicht sind.

YOTA contest 2021

1. Organisation: IARU R1 Ungdomsgrupp tillsammans med MRASZ (Ungerska amatörradioförbundet).

2. Syfte: Att uppmuntra och öka ungdomsaktivitet i etern, styrka YOTA:s anseende och visa ungdomsaktivitet i världen

3. Datum och tid:

a. Första omgången: 22:a maj, 0800-1959 UTC
b. Andra omgången: 17:e juli, 1000-2159 UTC
c. Tredje omgången: 30:e december 1200-2359 UTC

4. Deltagare:

a. Varje radioamatör i världen, som samtycker till reglerna i detta dokument.
b. YOTA: enligt IARU:s definition varje ungdom, under 25 år.

5. Band: 80m, 40m, 20m, 15m, 10m.

6. Trafiksätt: CW och SSB.

7. Klasser:

a. Single Operator 3 Bands mixed (alla)
b. Single Operator 3 Bands mixed (YOTA)

i. De tre band, i vilka den tävlande samlat flest poäng väljs automatiskt ur loggen. Det är därför inte nödvändigt att välja dessa på förhand.

c. Single Operator All Bands mixed (alla)
d. Single Operator All Bands mixed (YOTA)
e. Single Operator All Bands mixed 6 timmar – endast YOTA
f. Multi Operator All Bands mixed – endast YOTA (max 1 icke-ungdom per två ungdomar)

i. 10-minutersregeln tillämpas för bandväxling. Trafiksätt får växlas inom samma band utan begränsning.
ii. Upp till 2 sändningar får ske parallellt. En på “Run”-bandet och en på “Mult”-bandet

g. Lyssnaramatörer (SWL) All Bands Mixed

i. Poäng för varje QSO är summan av de, i QSO:et deltagande stationernas poäng. (ex. För en kontakt mellan en icke YOTA-station på lyssnaramatörens kontinent och en 23-årig YOTA-station ges 11 poäng (1 för icke YOTA-stationen på samma kontinent och 10 för YOTA-stationen)
ii. Varje hörd station ger poäng höst en gång per band och trafiksätt. Att lyssna till endast en station medför poängavdrag

h. Sponsorer: Stationsinnehavare som bjuder in ungdomar att delta från deras station kan delta i en särskild klass med fotodokumentation på aktiviteten och därigenom belönas för sin insats.

i. Infoga Sponsorstationens signal i operatörsförteckningen.

8. Kontakter:

a. Alla kan ha kontakt med alla.
b. Det är möjligt att tillgodoräkna sig poäng för kontakt med en och samma station inom ett och samma band men med olika trafiksätt.

9. Utväxling vid kontakt:

a. Single Operator: RS(T) + ålder den 1:a januari innevarande år.
b. Multi Operator: RS(T) + det av genomsnittlig ålder på deltagarna den första januari, eller 25, som är lägst.

10. Poängsättning

a. Egen kontinent: 1 poäng.
b. DX: 3 poäng.

i. Kontinenter delas in enligt följande: Nordamerika (NA), Sydamerika (SA), Europa (EU), Afrika (AF), Asien (AS) och Oceanien (OC).

c. Kontakter med ungdomar:

i. Under 12 år: 13 poäng.
ii. 12-16 år: 12 poäng.
iii. 17-21 år: 11 poäng.
iv. 22-25 år: 10 poäng.

11. Logg:

a. En Cabrillologgfil (V 2.0 eller högre) kan laddas upp till https://contest.ham-yota.com
b. Sista datum att ladda upp logg är 7 dagar efter tävlingens slut. Deltagare får ett bekräftelse-mejl efter uppladdning. Frågor om loggning och uppladdning av logg besvaras på contest@ham-yota.com fram till sista datum.

12. Kontroll av logg:

a. Loggar kontrolleras med hjälp av en för ändamålet designad mjukvara samt manuell kontroll.
b. Dubbla kontakter ger inte poängavdrag.
c. Kontakter med felaktig signal, trafikutväxling, datum eller tid är värda 0 poäng

13. Sammanställning:

a. En sammanställning av de tre omgångarna kommer göras.
b. MRASZ ansvarar för kontroll och sammanställning av loggar, samt publicering av resultat.
c. Deltagare förväntas följa skrivna tillika oskrivna regler för amatörradio. Brott mot regler eller osportsligt beteende medför åtgärd av YOTA:s Contestkomitté.

14. Priser:

a. Plaketter för stationer på första plats i respektive kategori delas ut för varje omgång.
b. Diplom finns att ladda ner för samtliga deltagande stationer efter sammanställning av resultat.

15. Övriga förhållningsregler:

a. Radiostationen och dess antenner måste befinna sig inom 500m från varandra. Anropssignal är geografiskt bunden till sändarplats. Vid deltagande från flera geografiska platser ska en separat anropssignal användas för varje sändarplats.
b. Dubletter ska inte raderas från loggen. Även vid deltagande i klassen “Single Operator 3 Band” ska samtliga kontakter, oavsett band, finnas med i loggen.
c. Tidsskillnaden i stationslogg får inte överstiga 3 minuter. Då denna tid överskrids, ogiltigförklaras kontakten. Det rekommenderas att före tävlingsstart synkronisera loggdatorns klocka med GPS eller internet.
d. Användning av DX-kluster är tillåtet. Självspotting är inte tillåtet. I de fall självspotting tydligt kan påvisas i samband med en viss operatör, och inte en anropssignal, diskvalificeras den självspottande stationen.
e. Problem med mjukvara för loggning är inte skäl för protest mot YOTA:s Contestkomitté eller dess arbete. Var och en ansvarar för att ladda upp loggen i ett läsbart Cabrilloformat. I de fall ett annat format laddas upp, och inte kan konverteras, klassas uppladdad logg som kontrollogg.
f. Uteffekt får inte överstiga de effektgränser som satts upp för respektive band på respektive plats.
g. Remotekörning medges så länge den sändare, mottagare och antenner är placerade inom 500 meter från varandra. En fjärrstyrd station och dess operatörer måste inneha alla tillstånd som krävs för trafik. Den anropssignal som används måste vara den som tilldelats stationen av den i landet aktuella myndigheten för tillsyn och spektrumkontroll.
h. På grund av COVID-19-pandemin ingår det i IARU R1:s officiella ställningstagande att inte uppmuntra Multi-Operator-deltagande. Trots detta har IARU R1:s ungdomsgrupp beslutat att inkludera denna kategori i tävlingen. Detta för att möjliggöra deltagande på station även för dem som inte själva har en station. IARU R1:s ungdomsgrupp uppmuntrar inte sammankomster med många ungdomar på stora conteststationer, även då gällande rekommendationer om social distansiering följs.

i. Genom uppladdning av YOTA-contest-logg, bekräftar deltagare att hen har:
i. Läst och förstått tävlingsreglerna och bundit sig till att följa dem.
ii. Bedrivit sin trafik i enlighet med lagar och föreskrifter för amatörradio på den geografiska plats där deltagandet skett.
iii. samtyckt till att uppladdad logg publiceras offentligt

NEW: YOTA Contest 2021

Team YOTA has been working hard over the last few months to establish one whole new project for the ham radio community. Everyone can take part, it takes place three times per year and only lasts 12 hours. Its aim is to increase the youngsters activity on the air, strengthening the reputation of the YOTA program and demonstrate the support for youngsters across the world.

Let us introduce you to our brand new YOTA Contest!

This years’ sessions will be held on Saturdays 22nd May (0800 – 1959 UTC), 17th July (1000 – 2159 UTC) and 30th December (1200 – 2359 UTC).

We have implemented 8 different categories which also include special ones for youngsters (≤ 25 years old) only. Covering the 80m, 40m, 20m, 15m and 10m bands the competition will take place in CW and SSB modes.

The contest exchange used will be the age of the participating operators. Different ages also serve as multipliers during the contest.

Contacts between the own continent are worth 1 point, working DX is worth 3 points but the most points will be achieved by working youngsters. The younger the operator the more points one will get for the QSO.

We, the IARU R1 Youth WG, are very happy to be cooperating with MRASZ, the Hungarian Amateur Radio Society. They are providing the contest log robot and many more things regarding this event.

The contest committee consists of the IARU R1 Youth WG Chair Philipp – DK6SP and Vice Chair Markus – DL8GM. Csaba – HA6PX and Tomi – HA8RT are completing the board.

Once the evaluation of received logs has been completed the various category winners will be awarded with a YOTA Contest plaque.
